I think you can file an FOIA (freedom of information act) form to get copy of your 140 approval from USCIS. The only problem is that it will take some time to do that.
However, do it in any case. You will need that 140 approval later on, even for filing H1 transfer after your intial 6 years are gone.
Guys and gals: Please use all tactics possible and all negotiating powers possible to get copies of approvals from your employers for your file. Whether its 140 or H1, you should have copies of them. Whenever the H1 is transferred, H4 also has to be transferred.

I filed my 485 in July 2007 with an approved I 140, My company got aquired in Nov. 2007. They amend my H1B, Recently I come to know that they file new I 140 to indicate new company is sponser of my GC. The new I 140 is still pending.
Now, I am gettig an offer by another company and that company is ready to transfer H1B. Can I change job while my new I 140 is pending
What if they withdraw new I 140 after I leave.
One lawyer which I consulted is saying that you should be fine because your I 485 was filed with an approved I 140...

I got I-140 Notice returned as undeliverable.
I got email notification on June 26 as approved and we will mail it to you.
After 2 days lated my attorny told me that he got that letter, he send to me by email as pdf file.
I have a question the letter attorny got is pdf file or original by mail(post).
Who will get the I -140 aaproval original letter?

It's too early to make a judgment on this since I haven't seen the actual text of this bill. With Sen.Sessions history, I highly doubt whether there is anything good to EB folks in this bill.

Hello All, Pardon me if I'm bringing up the question that's already been answered, but couldn't find any answer anywhere in the forum.
I just received my FP notice today but my wife hasn't received any. I'll wait few more days certainly before calling USCIS, but has anybody come across this situation? We had mailed all the applications together at NSC and have Receipt Notices.
Does InfoPass come to any help here?

I am also in the same situation and I asked my attorney. He said that if we can get notarized affidavits from Parents then it is sufficient. So get the format from your attorney and get it signed by your parents. They need at least 2 affidavits who were present at the time of the birth.

I am an early 2005 PD, eb3 ROW, PERM and I-140 approved GC candidate who has been in the US for 5 years. This eb3 retro has convinced me that I should explore my options in Canada and plan to migrate north within a 6 month time frame.
Since I already have an approved I-140, my question is whether the document will be alive if I do decide to come down again after 3-4 years when retro is no more.
....or is my I-140 a sure dead and not even worth bothering? Would appreciate your thoughts.

I-140 onwards. If you are filling in a form for visa stamping or are in the US on TN-1 visa or F-1 visa you are ok with filing an LC. Its the I-140 that determines immigration intent and can potentially interfere with your other status (or will require you to disclose your immigration intent on visa applications questions like "has someone ever filed an immigraiton petition on your behalf")

Replied RFE with copy of 485 receipt and copy MTR approval and got 3 years H1 extension until 2013.

I am currently looking for a job and I have a US Master's degree. I am stuck in this retrogression and my lawyer applied for EB3, and I have no choice but looking for another job that requires me a M.S. with higher salary so I could apply for EB2
Do you know where I can see which is the minimum wage for applying as EB2?? I remember in my Labor certification there was a place where I used to check minimal wage requirements.
I am rest of the world, and having an EB2 application will let me jump out of the retrogression if EB2 continues to be available

I went to red cross once to donate blood once but they refused to take since i am an immigrant who have not completed 5 years in USA so they may not take us.
i have given blood probably 10-12 times.
Red Cross may not have taken you blood for other reasons not because you are an immigrant , one major reason to deny blood donation is travel
outside US to a country that still has widesspread malaria.
India and most Southeast asian coutries among such countries is one such issues.
Please dont spread incorrect information.
I have volunteered in sports event, donated blood, build houses as volunteer and have been part of volunteer trail maintainance.....and i am an immigrant.
This country is one of the most independent and free countries on face of earth.
