just wanted to update my case is approved yesterday and dhs is sent the approval notice so its very fast in my case..
my lawyer filed the case on 17th jan and got approval email 24th jan.. very good.

Hi Nikith,
I guess we get FP for 485. Not for EAD or even AP.
You will get second (or even third or fourth...) Finger print notice(s)
until you get GC every 15 or 18 months.
They need to renew their FP database.

You will qualify.
Issue is getting to Canada and staying there long enough with the high taxes they have average canadian tax burden is 40% (30% tax + 10% additional sales tax on everything you buy) !
I know how meaningless this "Backup" is after paying almost 50K$ over past few yrs.!

Do I have to pay for my green card again if the INS made a mistake on my birthday? Need to know if there are any under the table jobs in Lake Havasu City,AZ. My green card expired in 2004. I have an AZ license and a social security card. Can I work with expired card? Please help!

HI All,
Anyonw planning on going to school this year full time? I am planning to...I have an EAD/AP that I can use and I know several IV'ans may be debating the same isssue
Now for the gurus who have already researched this:
1. Can one avail of financial aid (FAFSA) if has Advanced parole. I'm not 100%sure because its says 'indefinate parole" and i'm not sure if ours can be classified as "indefinate"
2. How does one activate EAD/AP (does one have to travel outside the country). I am currently still on H1B with 3 year extension granted but visa not stamped
3. One can go to school F/T on EAD. But what are the options to preserve one's PR application (..after all its been over 5-6 years since we filed are applications)...assuming its been over 6 months since I485 was filed and AC21 benefits kick in. And, is a leave of absence a better option than quitting.
I wanted to start a debate of what we are doing because I know several of us will be in the same boat.

Actually i went ahead and contacted an attorney for L1A extension under premium processing, so that should be done soon.
That would take care of DLs as well, as i would get the extension decision by the expiration of DL(s).
Attorney advised to wait for EAD extension for my wife till L1/L2 gets done, as EAD is still valid for some time. And in my case its not being used so i am fine.

Today i received a mail(04/12/2009) .Uscis issued an RFE. I am still waiting for it in mail.
she is currently in india . coming back on 04/15/2009. will there be any problem for her while coming back. I am july 2007 filer on priority Date eb3 ( 04/23/2003). I have left my employer last year.My 140 was approved on feb 2007. what are my options.

Is your wife travelling on H4 or AP.In both cases she should be fine.If she will travel on H4 then this is totally unrelated as your H1 is still valid and and she will be fine,if she is on AP then after RFE your case is suspended for about 3 weeks when you reply for the RFE and according to me she will be safe in the interim period of suspension to travel.
Please consult your attorney for confirmation.

Last December, 2006 I got laid off because of company downsizing. My last pay stub was dated 12/15/2006. My LC was pending more than 365 days in my last company. Recently I got new job offer. My new company attorney is collecting all my immigration related information for filing H1-B extension from me. I have almost 60 days employment gap when my new company attorney file my 8th year H1-B extension.

I am working in US on L1A visa expiring in November 2010 (completing 7 years). The Visa with whom I am working are not processing my GC. Before changing my Visa to L1A, I had H1B which is expired now. So I am applying for PERM through another employer. This employer/attorney is going to file for Labor in one or two months. What are the chances of my Labor and I-140 getting approved before December 2010? If my Labor got approved by December 2010, Can I switch to the employer who has applied for PERM and continue staying in US? Are there any options? Please advice. Thanks for your time.

I need help.My EAD has finally been approved and so has my I-140. I am now working for the petioning company but the pay checks are made out by a payroll company hired by petioning company to manage their staffs paychecks but their is no mention of the pertioning company on the paycheck I receive.. Can this be a problem if I should receive a RFE in the future for the still pending I-485 or eventually when I apply for citizenship?:confused:

Hello
I have got done my medical exam required for adjust of status.
My doc gave me only a single sheet of page in a sealed envelop to send to the USCIS for the purpose.
My QUESTION is, is it only one page to be submitted in the sealed envelop, as the form doesnt have any of my passport details or reciept numbers for the form 140's/485
He has only given me page 3 of the attached file, is that sufficient?

But the Beneficiary cannot do it on his own.
It has to be done by your Employer since on I-129
he has to Provide lot of confidential Information about the company
like Turn Over and Income of the company.
Most Employers have a contract with the Attornies and Prefer to
go through them instead of doing the Paper work themselves.

Can anyone tell when will EB3 India crossover to May 2001 from April 2001 without any new law.
let me try to guess this..mmm..tough question though, assuming they take 1 month to move one day..earliest would be in another 30 months..just kidding.. though i wont be surprised, even if it happens that way..no one know what is their freakin calculation to move these dates.

Not to be too ignorant, but it sounds like you can use any strobes as long as the triggering mech. works with your camera. I would prefer wireless. I guess I wasn't aware that the E-TTL wouldn't factor in either. Boy, I have a lot to learn. Thanks guys.
